Nationals Partner With ProWire To Deliver Live Radio Broadcast In-Park Via MLB Ballpark App

The Washington Nationals today announced a partnership with ProWire, an in-venue broadcast service that delivers ultra-low latency audio content to fans’ phones via cellular and venue Wi-Fi networks. Beginning on Friday, July 18, when the Nationals return home to begin a six-game homestand, fans can listen to the live, delay-free Nationals radio game broadcast for free in English or Spanish on their personal devices using the MLB Ballpark app while at Nationals Park.

“We’re excited to be working with the Nationals to update their in-venue audio offering,” said James Sumner, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at ProWire. “The Nationals have a history of providing in-venue radios at Nationals Park, and now fans will be able to access that audio without delay conveniently within MLB’s Ballpark app.”

In a few simple steps, fans will be able to hear real-time commentary from Nationals radio broadcasters Charlie Slowes and Dave Jageler or Spanish-language radio broadcasters Luciano Rodríguez and Gustavo Salazar, providing a fully immersive gameday experience. The new feature will replace the traditional in-park radio lanyards for the 2026 season.

For the remainder of the 2025 season, in-park radio lanyards will remain operational; however, fans are encouraged to try the new listen live feature in the MLB Ballpark app using a personal listening device and their smartphone.
